MISSOULA — Charlie Woida is no longer Montana’s director of athletic performance as of Monday, according to a report from the Montana Kaimin.
Woida, who had been working at Montana since 2010, didn’t have his contract renewed because of “alleged complaints from a men’s basketball coach,” according to the report.
Woida couldn’t be reached for comment.
Athletic director Kent Haslam said he could neither confirm nor deny if Woida was fired.
“I can’t comment at all about personnel matters,” Haslam told 406mtsports.com. "I can never talk about personnel matters. It’s state law.”
Woida was hired as Montana’s assistant director of athletic performance in August 2010. He was promoted to director in July 2012.
Previous stops for Woida included the San Diego Padres, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Minnesota, South Dakota State, Colorado State, the National Institute for Fitness and Sport, and Noonan Sports Specialists.
