When in Rome, do as the Romans do. And when in Spain ... well, if you're University of Montana guitar professor Luis Millan, you figure you'd better play some Spanish music.
That's just what Millan did for a couple of concerts this past summer, during a trip to the country that gave the world the Flamenco and the Bolero. Millan performed some of the great works from the Spanish guitar literature, plus a helping of music of America as well.
UM voice professor David Cody will join Millan for a performance of five songs by Fernando Sor; and the program is rounded out by works composed by Andres Segovia, Manuel de Falla, Julian Arcas, Frederic Hand, and James McGuire.
The concert takes place on Friday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the UM Music Recital Hall. Tickets are $6 general, $4 for students/seniors.
