OFFENSE
QB

Wofford
Now we get to see why they call him Ice Cole Bergquist. UM’s junior signal-caller went 11-0 this year as a starter, but back in ’05 he lost his first playoff start - a 35-21 decision at home to Cal Poly. That’s Bergquist’s last loss.

Wofford
Wofford rushed for nearly 1,500 more yards than Montana, but the Grizzlies placed four guys on the all-Big Sky list, while the Terriers had just one.

Lex Hilliard became UM’s career leader in TDs last week in Bozeman, but he’s up against Southern Conference’s No. 2 rusher Kevious Johnson, who gained 1,029 yards this fall.
WR/TE
Montana

Wofford
We liked how Eric Allen, Mike Ferriter, Rob Schulte and Marc Mariani rose to the occasion in the last two weeks, since Ryan Bagley’s season-ending arm break. Now go out there and break a leg.
DEFENSE
DL
Montana

Wofford
Kroy Biermann aside, the Griz are ranked 11th nationally against the run, while the Terriers are ranked 46th. Ahhhh, who we kiddin’, Kroy’s still gonna have a sack-tastic game.
LB
Montana

Wofford
Tyler Joyce hasn’t gotten his due much this year, so this one’s for the once-mohawked senior. Joyce was snubbed on the first-team all-Big Sky list, but he’s UM’s top tackler this fall and the Griz’ third-leading tackler all-time.
CB/SAFETY
Montana

Wofford

The two teams each allow 227 yards per game passing this season. The Terriers placed two from their starting secondary on SoCon’s all-conference list, while the Griz placed three. Maybe if they passed more down at Wofford.
SPECIAL TEAMS
K/P/Returns
Montana

Wofford
Kicker Dan Carpenter is in the history books as the FCS career points leader. Punt and kick returners Marc Mariani and Schulte will be history if the Terriers don’t get a paw on them. UM punter Tyson Johnson averages nearly 10 yards further per punt than his Wofford counterpart.
Intangibles
Montana

Wofford
The Turkey-day hangover playoff contest usually fails to stuff Washington-Griz Stadium, but be thankful that this UM crew, which features 22 seniors, is playoff-tested and ready to advance. Wofford, which averaged 8,318 fans per game at home, won the SoCon and still had to travel. Good gravy.
