Lolo Watershed Group is seeking volunteers for a massive planting effort near Fort Fizzle, outside of Lolo. This event will take place over 2 weekends in May; May 12-13 and May 19-20 from 9-5 with more focus on the 1st weekend. We will likely have people chose 4 hour shifts (9-1 and 1-5) so no need to stay the whole day.

We are looking for over 150 people to come out and help a private landowner get 3,000 trees planted on 15 of 130 acres burned during the Lolo Peak Fire last year.

No planting experience is necessary, all ages are welcome, but we prefer anyone volunteering be 16 or over.

This is an outdoor event that is happening rain or shine. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring work gloves and water. Volunteers should wear weather-appropriate clothing. The site is approximately ½ a mile from the parking area and there are uneven and slick surfaces.

If you have planting tools, please bring them.

Lunch will be provided.
