Missoula’s premier vocal ensemble, Dolce Canto, present is presenting an evening of Korean cuisine, paired wines and live choral highlights to help fund a trip to South Korea this spring.

“A Taste of Korea” is set for Saturday, March 12, beginning at 6 p.m. at St. Anthony Parish, 217 Tremont St. 

At 6 p.m., the evening opens with hosted drinks and a silent auction. At 7 p.m., dinner will be served and the live auction opens, with Mayor John Engen. 

The cost is $65 per person or $600 sponsor table for eight. Sponsor table hosts receive premium seating, recognition in the evening’s program and the March concert program.

Conductor Peter Park has crafted an exquisite menu that will transport the guests to Korea through flavorful courses of delicious food and wine pairings.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Dolce Canto’s upcoming performance tour to South Korea in April. The choir will represent Missoula in a valuable city-to-city cultural exchange and perform alongside several Korean choirs in various parts of the country.

Dolce Canto is an auditioned, non-profit choral ensemble founded in 2001. It exists to enrich the lives of its members and audiences by performing exceptional and diverse choral music with compelling artistry and sensitivity. The group was invited to sing in New York’s Carnegie Hall in 2013, is the 2014 recipient of the prestigious Dale Warland Singers Commission Award, and has released two CDs.
