An off-Broadway touring company is bring "Girls Night: The Musical" to Whitefish.
The feel-good comedy will be be performed one night only on Friday, Nov. 13, courtesy of the Whitefish Theatre Co. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. Show time is 8 p.m.
“Girls Night: The Musical” is the story of five friends in their 30s and 40s who re-live their past, celebrate their present and look to the future when they meet during a wild and outrageous 'girl's night out' at a karaoke bar.
Described as “'Sex and the City' meets 'Mamma Mia,' " the show is packed with hit songs from the 1980s and 90s, such as “Lady Marmalade,” “It’s Raining Men,” “Man I Feel Like A Woman,” “I Will Survive,” “We are Family” and many more.
British playwright Louise Roche's musical has earned rave reviews playing packed houses throughout the United Kingdom since 2003. It premiered off-Broadway in the United States in 2009 and has since been attracting sold-out audiences as the show tours across the country. “Girls Night: The Musical” will have “audiences on their feet, clapping, singing and dancing in the aisles” according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
