Microbrews from across Montana and the greater region will flow freely on Friday at the fifth annual Winter BrewFest.
The taps will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. in Caras Park, accompanied by live music, wine, food and more.
The Missoula Downtown Association and KettleHouse Brewing Co.'s annual shindig features 40-plus winter brews this year.
Admission is $12 per person and includes one 7-ounce commemorative glass and two beer tokens. Additional tokens are $1 each.
Attendees must be 21 years of age or older and will be required to show identification at the entrance, located on the west side of the Caras Park Pavilion near the Carousel.
Parking is free downtown on evenings and weekends, and attendees are encouraged to use designated drivers or other forms of transportation. Fare-free Mountain Line bus BOLT! service runs until 8:45 p.m. out of downtown, and the University of Montana UDASH shuttle runs 15-minute service late into the night.
Check mountainline.com or the Mountain Line app for routes and times.
“This will be the third year Winter BrewFest takes place in Caras Park,” said Winter BrewFest committee chair Ellen Buchanan. “We want to preserve the same fun outdoor atmosphere as years past, but we’ve given guests more room to move freely among the beer selection with food and great music. We’ve designed a spacious layout this year and are bringing in even more winter brews to taste. It will be an exciting evening downtown and will just add to all the fun we have year-round in Downtown Missoula.”
In addition to hosting over three dozen microbrews from both local and regional breweries, entertainment will be provided by Zeppo and Miller Creek and food will be provided by El Cazador and MacKenzie River Pizza Company.
There will be many ways to stay warm throughout the event with burn barrels and propane heaters.
Winter BrewFest is sponsored by Kettlehouse Brewing Co. and The Trail 103.3. More information can be found at missouladowntown.com/winter-brewfest.
