Schoolhouse shorts: Three short films rated for children. Wilma Theatre, 4 p.m.
Sam Green retrospective: “The Weather Underground,” his Oscar-nominated film about the radical revolutionary group. Crystal Theater, 5 p.m.
“The Last Season”: In an Oregon mushroom hunting camp, a U.S. Army sniper and Cambodian platoon leader form an unexpected bond. Big Sky Award Competition. Wilma Theatre, 5:30 p.m.
“Almost There”: Shot over eight years, depiction of elderly artist’s first major art exhibition, and the community that supports him. Crystal Theater, 7 p.m.
“Fishtail”: Two cowboys work though calving season on a Montana ranch. Narrated by Harry Dean Stanton. Big Sky Award Competition. Wilma Theater, 7:15 p.m.
Competition awards party: Presentation of competition film clips and winner announcements. Hosted by Mark Heyka of NBC Montana. Top Hat Lounge, 8 p.m., free.
“Every Other Summer: Solid Sound Festival 2013”: A look at the music and utopian vibe of the semiannual festival hosted by Wilco. World premiere. Wilma Theatre, 8:30 p.m.

John Cohen photography exhibit. Cohen is a legendary musician (New Lost City Ramblers), photographer (Bob Dylan, Jack Kerouac) and documentary filmmaker ("That High Lonesome Sound"). Brink Gallery, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
