Fans of folk and jazz guitar can get their fill of both on Saturday at the Crystal Theatre.

For “New York Folk Meets Missoula Swing,” East Coast guitarist Ron Gluck will pair up with and Missoulian Ron Meissner for a set of old folk with some blues and swing.

Meissner’s name and melodic sound will be familiar to Missoula jazz and blues fans. Gluck, meanwhile, is an old-school folkie with roots in the scene’s late 1950s and ’60s heyday.

His resume includes work with The Harvesters, sharing a stage with Pete Seeger, and a White House performance during the LBJ era.

Backing the two are bassist Pete Hand and percussionist Ed Stalling, both mainstays of the Missoula music scene.

Gluck and Meissner will perform at the Crystal Theatre, 515 S. Higgins Ave., at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. Tickets are $8 at the door. Wine and beer is available.
