WE CARE - Couple seeks day care as other child has surgery
A young, married couple has a baby that will require major surgery at the end of June. While in the hospital for the baby’s surgery and rehabilitation, they need approximately two weeks of child care for their 3-year-old. The father needs to be able to keep his full-time job, and the mother needs to be with the baby. They need gas cards to drive the preschooler to relatives in central Montana for a full-time child care option (round-trip twice would cost about $300), and/or gift cards to Missoula-area Childcare Drop-In Centers for child care services.

A client of the Carole A. Graham Home is a young mother of three who has just applied to the University of Montana. She carefully budgets her money each month and survives primarily on her ex-husband’s child-support payment. She is not working at this time because of her infant baby. She has done a great job for the past five months of making things work, but her ex-husband’s employer made a mistake this month and she has not received any child support. She is in need of gas vouchers; help with her power bill from Northwestern Energy, which is at about $200; and help with her $70 phone bill from Cellular One. Also, some spending money for the month would be nice, as she will not receive her next payment until late June.

NONPROFIT - Free screening of Alzheimer’s Project
A special screening and discussion of the “Caregivers” segment from the HBO Alzheimer’s Project series will be held June 22 at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick Hospital’s Broadway Building Conference Center. WE CARE - Autistic boy could use playhouse
A 3-year-old boy has been diagnosed with autism. He has intense sensory needs, which is becoming a safety concern. He will climb on anything he can find including bookshelves, handlebars of an exercise treadmill and window ledges. He is in need of a climbing structure to help decrease his climbing behavior on inappropriate objects. The maximum dimensions that will fit in his room are: 4 1/2 feet in long, 4 1/2 feet wide and 5 feet in high. If a slide is attached that is ok and doesn’t have to be counted in the listed dimensions.
