The Griz Dip for Special Olympics Montana will take place Saturday, Dec. 2, on North Higgins and Alder streets (behind Peak Health and Wellness). The event beings at 11 a.m.
Admission is free for spectators; people taking the plunge are asked to raise $125. The Griz Dip is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations and businesses to support Special Olympics Montana by taking an icy dip into freezing waters.

The 30th annual Tree of Life Ceremony sponsored by Partners in Home Care will be held Tuesday, Dec. 5. The optional tree lighting is at 6 p.m. at Rose Memorial Park followed by the Full Tree of Life ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 202 Brooks St.
The ceremony honors and remembers loved ones in our lives who have died. This time of remembrance and healing is open to all.
An AARP Smart Driver class will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Hospital Conference Center. While this safe driving program is designed for drivers age 50 or over, all drivers are welcome. The class fee is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. There are no written exams or driving tests and, Montana mandates insurance discounts for qualified graduates. Call 406-543-7184 to register.
