Frenchtown Pond State Park invites you to attend "Bear Basics: Ecology and Biology of Montana's Grizzly and Black Bears" presented by Elissa Chott from the Great Bear Foundation on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the West Shelter (to the right as you enter the parking lot).

Montana is home to both grizzly and black bears that fill important ecological niches. Come learn bear biology, ecology, how to identify bear foods and sign, distinguish the difference between the two species, and see tracks, hides and skulls.

This program is free, open to the public and great for all ages.
