Online registration is now open for the St. Ignatius area hunter education course.
Classes will be held at the Christian Church, 303 N. Main St. in St. Ignatius from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 8, 11, 12, 13. North class doors will be unlocked, classes are in basement. A field day will be announced.
Due to FWP regulations, all students must pre-register online and print and bring to the first class the Student Agreement Form (includes a Parent/Guardian Agreement) signed by the student. If the student is under 18 years of age, it must also be signed by the parent/guardian. Also bring the 2012 Student code of ethics.
Register online at register-ed.com/events/view/108226.
All hunter education classes are free of charge. By state law, anyone born after Jan. 1, 1985, must have completed the Hunter Education Course to buy a hunting license in Montana. The minimum age for hunting in Montana is 12 (11-year-olds who turn 12 by Jan. 16 of the license year can qualify, see regulations).
Adult students who have taken the online course and wish to participate in the field day need to contact Dan Larsson.
