U.S. Sen. Jon Tester canceled some Monday appearances after hurting himself in a fall on Sunday.

“Jon was on his farm in Big Sandy on Sunday and he slipped and fell in the cold,” Tester spokesman Luke Jackson said of the Montana Democrat. “He got a few stitches, and is now back at the farm resting. He is doing well and in good spirits and plans on being in Helena on Tuesday as scheduled.”

Tester was expected to discuss his Blackfoot-Clearwater Stewardship Act in a public meeting in Seeley Lake on Monday morning, and then attend a showing of the documentary “Dark Money” in Missoula on Monday evening.
