A maze can be a scary place, but not for a maze veteran like 4-year-old Asher Ellingson.
The young Ellingson was helping his father Earl build the Lost Nugget Mine, Missoula Maze’s sixth annual hay bale and corn maze on Clements Road Monday afternoon.
Earl Ellingson has designed the maze every year and this year’s theme is mining. The entrance to the maze is an old mining shaft that leads into “a jungle of towering cornstalks.”
The maze opens at noon on Sunday, Sept. 21, and closes at 8 p.m. It is also open on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. through October. Log on to missoulamaze.com for a complete schedule.
