LINCOLN — Betty Lou Fleming entered Heaven's gates on Dec. 24, 2017, at her home in Lincoln surrounded by family.

Betty Lou was born Jan. 6, 1932, to Samuel and Ella Bignell. She attended school in Helmville and Deer Lodge.

In 1953 she married Gerald Fleming. They didn't waste any time starting a family. Leo was born in 1954 and eleven months later twins Larry and Jerry arrived. After taking a break for a few years in 1962 their daughter Linda was born.

Helping on the ranch, cooking and cleaning kept Betty Lou busy until her grandchildren arrived. She thoroughly enjoyed them and the time she spent with each of them. Family and friends were her passion and delight.

Betty Lou is survived by her sister Pauline and husband Bruce Benson of Avon. Children Leo and Kris Fleming of Ronan, Larry and Kathy Fleming of Fort Shaw, Jerry Fleming of Helena, Linda and Larry Menard of Lincoln, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Fleming and her brothers Sammy and Gerald Bignell.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Helmville at St. Thomas Parish. A vigil service will be held Monday, January 1, 2018, at 5 p.m. in Helmville.
