ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Beverly Landes, 88, died on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at home in Anchorage, Alaska. Beverly was born in Polson on April 23, 1929. She joined her husband, Wesley K. Landes in Anchorage in 1955.

Beverly and Wes started their business, Airglass, Inc. in 1955, manufacturing Landes skis for airplanes and helicopters. They were very involved with their sons in skiing and racing at Alyeska. They established the 50 meter ski jump tower in honor of their son Jim at the Hilltop ski area in the Karl Eid ski jump complex.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Wesley K. Landes; and her son Gary Landes; and her son James, his wife Lourdes and baby Nicole.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Sharon Landes; granddaughter Carissa Landes; sister-in-law Phyllis Landes; niece Elaine Hecker; nephew Tim Jensen; cousins; grand nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at O’Malley’s on the Green, 3651 O’Malley Rd., Anchorage, Alaska.

Arrangements were entrusted to Kehl’s Legacy Funeral Home.
