PORTOLA, Calif. — It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the sudden death of Bruce R. Bingenheimer who passed on Friday, March 9, 2018.

Bruce was born Aug. 4, 1955, in Guam to Raymond and Ester Bingenheimer. He graduated from Superior High School in Montana. He managed the local cedar mill in Superior until 1988 then moved his family to Elko, Nevada, where he then worked in several of the area gold mines. He retired from Joy Global in January 2017 to purse his passion for custom knife making.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Marilyn; his three children Brandi (Andrew) Flores, Candi (Rich) Quilici and Philip Bingenheimer; and four grandchildren: Cory, Jordan, Rylea, and Charlie.

A celebration of life is being held on Saturday, March 17, at Dreez, located at 450 Silver Street, Elko, Nevada, from 2 to 5 p.m.
