MISSOULA — Colleen Anne Askin, age 51, of Missoula, passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, on the morning of Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, after battling lung cancer.
A gathering of remembrance will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Eagles Club located at 2420 South Ave. W., Missoula, MT 59801. Arrangements are made by her children, Michelle and Kristen Askin and Derek Willson.
Colleen was born on Jan. 15, 1966. She went to school in Miles City and lived most of her life in Missoula. She worked many jobs throughout her life but her most loved job was being a mother and grandmother. Colleen loved boating, crafting with duct tape and cardboard, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Colleen is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel “Pat” Askin.
Colleen is survived by her children Derek Willson, Michelle and Kristen Askin; siblings Ken and Charles Christofferson, Kathy Netland, Denise Wilson-Oliver, Rob Wilson, Ron and Doug Askin, parents Ronald and Beverly Askin; grandchildren Alexander Wells, Patrick Reed, Carter Reed, and soon to be granddaughter.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to Colleen’s children to help with cremation and memorial services.
