COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho — Grace Day passed away peacefully at Life Care Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in the early morning of Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018. She was born on Jan. 6, 1929, in Wallace, Idaho, to Pete and Christine Abruzzini.
She graduated from school in Kellogg, Idaho. After graduation, she married the love of her life, James Day on Dec. 13, 1947. They moved to Missoula where they raised their children. They were married for 58 years until James passed away. Grace’s daughter, Lorraine passed away in 2001.
Grace is survived by sons, Jim (Diane) and Paul (Dolly), six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Grace worked in many different fields. She retired from the Missoula County DMV after 17 years. She was involved in many organizations, but most important to her was her two terms serving as Grand Matron for Eastern Star.
Family and friends were very important to Grace. She loved being surrounded by family and enjoyed many social activities with friends.
Grace’s funeral will be on Monday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula, followed by a light lunch.
