MISSOULA — James M. Bice (Jim), 69, of Missoula lost his battle to lung cancer on Oct 4, 2017, at home with his love, Julie Pastrone.
Jim was born on April 29, 1948 in Billings, to Robert and Joyce Bice. Jim studied at the University of Phoenix and majored in Art and served in Korea for the U.S. Army from 1967-1970. He was a salesman extraordinaire, talented artist and woodworker. Jim was the owner and proprietor of the Double Eagle Trading Company, and Montana Fine Art Festival and Thunder Paws Photography. Jim loved the outdoors, especially the fishing trips with his best buddies; Denny Lipke, Bill Galiher and J.D. Galiher.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Joyce Bice.
Jim survived by brothers; Rick Bice of Missoula and Ron Bice of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Katrina Jo Phillips; grandchildren Logan, Aspen and Taryn Phillips of Lee Summit, Missouri; the love of his life, Julie Pastrone, and her daughter and family, Lisa, Jeff, Cole and Jordan Pine of Missoula. And Vegas, Jim’s beloved pet. Jim also leaves behind his second family, the vendors, artists and friends of the Art & Craft World. He loved them and cherished the times spent together.
Services will be held Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the Garden City Funeral Home. Reception will follow at family home.
