POLSON — Jesse Lee Atwin, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at the St. Joseph ER.
Born Dec. 3, 1980, in Polson to Tommie (Mitchell) and Tim Atwin, he was raised and educated on the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Reservation where he graduated from Two Eagle High School.
A wildland firefighter by trade, he also worked as a cook and was a kind and loving husband and father.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being a jokester and making everybody laugh.
He is preceded in death by his mother Tommie and daughter Ellianna.
He is survived by his wife Ardena Finley Atwin; his father Tim (Bernie) Atwin; his children RaeShawn, Anton, Lee, Jesse Jr., Heather and Noah; his grandmother Anna Mitchell, his sister Jade (Irish) Mitchell. And many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A wake has begun at the Elmo Cultural Hall with Rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, in the Hall with burial following in the Dayton Cemetery.
