MISSOULA — Micky Mitchell Redlhammer, 92, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, at the Village Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Eduardo Redlhammer. She was born in Villach, Austria, on April 29, 1925, the daughter of Emil and Angela Kohlweg.
She lived in Austria during WWII, a very stressful time but she never dwelled on the suffering during that time. She met Jack E. Mitchell in Austria in 1948 and they were married in 1949. She came to America in 1950 with Jack and daughter Jackie. She had two more children, Gary born in 1950 and Sherron born in 1953. She was a super mom to us kids.
Micky worked at the Missoula Mercantile in the ski department during the 1960s. In 1970 she received her cosmetology license and had a successful career until she met her second husband, Eduardo and retired in 1992. They had many good years together until he passed in 2005. She enjoyed single life until her death.
She was preceded in death by her father Emil, mother Angela, brothers Peter and Herbert and sister Heidi. Survivors include her three children, Jackie Geyr, Gary Mitchell and Sherron (Cameron) Mitchell; two granddaughters, Angela and Kari; three great-grandchildren, Brianna, Aaron and Teddy, all in Hatting, Austria.
A celebration will be held at St. Anthony's Church, Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at whitesittfuneralhome.com.
