MISSOULA — Sierra Xiao Fister, 27, of Missoula, passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2018.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Lolo Community Church. Pastor Scott Klaudt of Zootown Church will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sunset Memorial Crematory Cemetery and Funeral Home.
Sierra was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on April 6, 1991. She graduated high school after being home-schooled and continued to study psychology at The University of Montana.
Sierra was married to Gregory Fister on Aug. 1, 2014; they were married for three years.
Sierra worked as a community coordinator for Athleta during the past year. She enjoyed running, dancing, doing crafts, spending time with friends and family, and raising her daughter Marlo. Sierra had just received her license as an EMT from Fight-or-Flight Emergency Medical Educators, here in Missoula on May 6.
Sierra is survived by her daughter Marlo Fister; her husband Gregory Fister; her parents Carol and Sam McKenzie; her sisters Bryn Howell and Lakxota McKenzie; her brother Aiden McKenzie; her grandparents Joe and Jeri Gebis and many family and friends.
Sierra is preceded in death by grandparents Burlon and Kathleen McKenzie, Roy and Pearl Haslacker.
A memorial fund has been set up to cover associated costs, as well as to go towards her daughter Marlo’s College Fund. Here is the link:
