I love to watch children playing in the park this time of year. Their joy cheers us all. However, childhood is a vulnerable time of life.
Worldwide, 6.3 million children die each year before they reach their 5th birthday. One third of them die in the first week of life.
With proper nutrition and other interventions, we can prevent most of these deaths. Upcoming congressional legislation could put us on track to ending senseless deaths of young children once and for all. This legislation will coordinate and streamline effective funding to save children’s lives.
Call U.S. Sens. Steve Daines and Jon Tester, and U.S. Rep. Ryan Zinke (202-224-3121) today and ask them to support this legislation. Let’s give all children a chance to thrive.
