Six applicants will be interviewed next week to fill the vacant Missoula County Public Schools Board of Trustees position.

Joel Cusker, Albert Hoy Yee, Matt Loomis, Susan Renae Massey, Matthew Swenson and Scott S. Todd applied for the temporary position representing all K-12 schools, a MCPS news release said.

Board member Adam Duerk resigned in January, saying he couldn’t fulfill his duties because of a heavy workload.

Applicants were asked to provide contact information and answer a set of questions. Trustees will interview applicants at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Business Building Board Room at 915 South Ave. W., the release said.

The new trustee will be appointed by the board March 12 and serve until the school board election May 7.
