HELENA – Flags in Montana will be flown at half-staff Thursday, in honor of former state Attorney General Joe Mazurek, who died Tuesday.
Gov. Brian Schweitzer made the order in proclamation Wednesday.
Mazurek, 64, died Tuesday from complications of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. A 1975 graduate of the University of Montana law school, Mazurek was Montana’s attorney general from 1993 to 2000 and a state senator from 1981 to 1992.
