Join car lovers from across the region at Caras Park on Friday and Saturday for the 16th annual Garden City River Rod Run. This car show features more than 200 classic and hot rod cars and will attract nearly 3,000 spectators to downtown Missoula.
This year, the Rod Run will be celebrating Buicks through the decades and will have several Buicks featured at the show.
Participants and attendees alike will enjoy the "show and shine" on Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at Caras Park, which will include live music provided by local band Zoo City from 6-9 p.m. The highlight is the Friday night Cruisin’ Parade on Higgins Avenue from 9-10 p.m.
The "show and shine" will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food vendors and a beer garden will be at the park during the Show and Shine on both Friday and Saturday.
The festivities culminate with the weekend’s award presentation at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Caras Park. Awards for Best Ford, Best Chevy, Best GM, Best Vintage, Best Street Rod, Best Special Interest, Best Pickup, Best Mopar, Best in Show and Sponsor’s Choice will be presented.
Admission to the River Rod Run is free to spectators. Participants can register cars for the show and parade for $40 online at missouladowntown.com/registercar; on-site registration is also available. Second car registrations are $20. Parade only registration is available and all cars must be registered to participate in the parade.
