Glacier National Park and the Glacier National Park Conservancy are accepting art submissions from sixth- through 12th-grade students for the annual park pass artwork contest. The winning art will be displayed on the 2016 Glacier National Park Annual Park Pass.
Entries will be judged on the use of color, design and accuracy of a scene that displays the majesty of Glacier National Park in celebration of the National Park Service centennial. Art may include any natural or cultural resource of the park, or symbol of the National Park Service. Each entry must include original artwork.
The deadline to submit artwork is May 11. Winners will be announced in June.
Visit the park’s website at nps.gov/glac/learn/kidsyouth/index.htm for more information and an application, or contact Glacier National Park Conservancy at (406) 892-3250.
The pass featuring the winning artwork will be available in January 2016, and more than 14,000 passes will be issued during the year. The top three winners will receive a gift certificate from the Glacier National Park Conservancy.
