The Jeannette Rankin Peace Center and the Office of International Programs at the University of Montana invites the public to participate in the second annual intercultural dialogue series featuring Hubert H. Humphrey Fellows visiting the University of Montana’s English Language Institute in Missoula.
Beginning Thursday, the JRPC will host speakers from a diverse group of countries – Myanmar, Mexico, China, Central African Republic, Djibouti, Haiti, Pakistan, Argentina, Armenia, Togo and Costa Rica – who are available to share their various global perspectives on topics such as politics, educational administration and planning, environmental policy and change, and criminal justice.
Thursday’s event will feature speakers Meng Han, a photojournalist from China, and Rosario Carmona, a journalist from Mexico, and will focus on issues surrounding media, political issues and freedom of information in their respective countries.
Talks are held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the JRPC conference room, 519 S. Higgins Ave.
