KALISPELL – A 34-year-old Kalispell man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly shot out the tires of a vehicle in which his 2-year-old son was sitting.
Eric Brush was fighting with his common-law wife at around 8:20 a.m. when, in an apparent attempt to prevent the woman from leaving, he allegedly fired two to three rounds from a handgun into two tires of her vehicle, Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry said Thursday.
The shooting occurred around 8:20 a.m. Wednesday at the couple’s residence off Highway 93 north of Kalispell.
No one was injured in the shooting, and sheriff’s deputies who responded arrested Brush without incident.
Brush was initially charged with assault with a weapon and criminal endangerment, both felonies.
Curry said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
