At 101 years old, the Missoula County Fairgrounds received some much-needed attention leading up to the Western Montana Fair.

MICHAEL GALLACHER, Missoulian

From carnival rides to fair food, the demolition derby to the petting zoo, the Missoulian newspaper is looking for some high school students interested in covering the Western Montana Fair Aug. 11-16.

The students will track down original stories from the fair to report, write and photograph for the Missoulian's Midway Dispatch. The best part is that along with gaining experience as a reporter and seeing their finished work published in the paper, the students will be getting paid as well.

Contact reporter Dillon Kato at 523-5295 with questions. To apply, send an email to dillon.kato@missoulian.com with a paragraph indicating why you are interested and any sort of journalistic experience you have acquired, such as clubs or hobbies.
