An inmate at the Montana Women’s Prison in Billings passed away Friday morning at a local hospital, said a prison spokeswoman.

The inmate, identified as Joann Bullard, 57, died at 2:15 a.m. at Billings Clinic of natural causes while receiving care, said spokeswoman Annamae Siegfried-Derrick.

Bullard was serving a 10-year sentence imposed in 2015 in Lewis and Clark County for criminal possession with intent to distribute drugs.
