HELENA – Delegates to the Montana Democratic Party convention elected Nancy Anderson of Great Falls as the new party chair.

Anderson, a longtime party activist, succeeds former state Sen. Jim Elliott, D-Trout Creek, who had held the post for four years. She previously was the party’s vice chair.

The new vice chair is Jim Larson of Billings, secretary-treasurer of Teamsters Local 190.

The elections took place at a party convention in Lewistown last weekend.
