HAVRE (AP) — Officials with Montana State University-Northern say the victims of a weekend stabbing at an off-campus apartment were students.
KOJM-AM in Havre reports the school issued a statement Tuesday saying the assaults are a tragedy and that the school will help the students as they recover and finish their education.
The three victims, ages 19 and 20, were stabbed early Saturday. A 17-year-old boy is charged with three counts of attempted deliberate homicide and aggravated burglary.
KIRO-TV in Seattle identified the male victim as 19-year-old Sam Mix of Sammamish, Washington. Mix is a member of Northern's football team and was listed in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich says one female victim has been released from the hospital and another was hospitalized in Billings. Their names have not been released.
