Bail remained set at $50,000 for a 42-year-old woman accused of causing her husband’s death by injecting him with heroin – allegedly at his own request.

Terry L. Baillargeon, 42, appeared in Missoula County Justice Court on Tuesday on an amended charge of negligent homicide.

She originally was charged with criminal endangerment and tampering with evidence after law enforcement officials found Lawrence Baillargeon unresponsive at the couple’s home on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

He was transported to the hospital and determined to be brain dead. He was removed from life support Friday at the request of his family, and the amended charge of negligent homicide was filed Monday. The criminal endangerment charge has been dropped.

Missoula County Justice of the Peace Karen Orzech set Baillargeon’s next court appearance for Jan. 18.
