To solve the difficult controversy regarding the border wall, we need a creative approach.

The wall can have bipartisan and public support and be financed by private enterprise if it is conceived of as an attraction and not strictly a punitive barrier. Think of "The Wall" as a destination tourist attraction which would incorporate hotels, motels, casinos, restaurants, bistros, conference facilities, pedestrian and equestrian paths, etc. On the top of the wall, along the 700- or 500-mile stretch, will be bicycle paths, walking and hiking paths, viewing stations, etc.

Such an approach to building a border wall as an attraction and not a strictly punitive barrier would create long-term jobs, increase security, have bipartisan and public support, and be paid for by private enterprise wanting to establish business along the wall.
