Steve Daines, Nov. 4, 2014 (at his election): “We need to ... pass balanced budgets in both houses, and we’ve got to stop spending more than we’re taking in.”

Steve Daines, Dec. 20, 2017: Votes for a rushed, hastily written tax bill that adds at least $1 trillion to our deficit, and that gives 83 percent of its benefits to the top 1 percent over the next decade.

Not only that, the last-minute #CorkerKickback real-estate provision added by Sen. Orrin Hatch will put millions into Steve Daines’ pockets, along with 13 other GOP senators. This same Senator Hatch is quoted as saying we “don’t have the money anymore” for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

This naked corruption and absolute hypocrisy on the part of a Montana senator is breathtakingly appalling. It is certainly not “Montana values” and Daines is not fit to serve Montana.
