The Sept. 9 Missoulian devotes well-deserved attention to the work of Norman Maclean and to the festival held in his honor in Missoula and Seeley Lake. (Thank you!)
One comment of mine quoted in the article, however, needs clarification. When I said Maclean "talked about being bipolar," I was employing a metaphor Maclean himself used to describe being torn between his two homes in Chicago and Montana. Maclean himself did not literally suffer from this disorder.
