Donald Trump’s attacks on our free press continue to escalate. I was appalled to read in the May 10 Missoulian that “President” Trump had suggested revoking the press credentials of reporters who reported negative news about him. (Ironic in itself, as almost all truthful news about him is, by definition, negative.)
OK, Trump: You are an intellectual dwarf, a bigot and a misogynist pig. You are the worst president in our history, and have assembled a cabinet with a collection of the most unqualified people ever gathered in one place. Your incompetent and pathologically dishonest tenure in the White House is a disgrace to America and an affront to the civilized world.
There, is that sufficiently negative to injure your poor little ego? Now, I am not a reporter, so you can’t pull my press credentials. But I am a citizen with the same First Amendment rights of free speech that the press enjoys, so what would you propose for a mere citizen — revoke my citizenship? Cancel my passport? Take away my right to vote? What, exactly, is next on your ignorant and unconstitutional agenda?
