SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- UC Santa Barbara dominated Montana is most statistical categories in their nonconference women's soccer match Friday evening.

In the one that counted though, the Gauchos eked out just a 1-0 win over the Griz.

Sydney Magnin scored in the 37th minute on an assist from McKinsey Martinez to give UCSB (5-2-1) all the offense it needed.

The Gauchos owned a 16-2 edge in shots on goal, an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks and UCSB goalkeeper Jacq Caginia was not called upon to make a save.

Kailey Norman came up with three saves for the Griz, who fell to 3-5-1.
