The Class A Missoula Mavericks split a season-opening twin bill with the Bozeman Spikes on Sunday in Bozeman. The Spikes won the opener 9-1 behind a one-hitter. Bridger Johnson doubled and drove in the Mavs' only run. Missoula rebounded to win the nightcap 7-4, scoring four in the sixth and three in the seventh to rally for the win. Turner McCullough had a pair of singles and drove in three runs for the Mavs. Zach Hangas also had a pair of hits for the Mavs. Kellan Feeley picked up the win on the mound with three innings of one-hit relief.
