MILWAUKEE — Tyler Hall scored 23 points and Harald Frey added 18 as Montana State defeated Milwaukee 68-64 in men's basketball on Saturday at the UWM Panther Arena.

The Bobcats were trailing 47-44 midway through the second half, but Frey made a 3-pointer and later converted a three-point play to give them a 51-49 advantage. A 3 by Hall put the Bobcats up 67-64 with 1:52 left.

It was the first “true” road victory for MSU this year. The Bobcats, who travel to play Central Michigan on Tuesday, improved to 6-3.

“Getting this first one is big. Now we know what it takes. It sets us up for more road games down the line,” Hall said.

“That was the most physical game we’ve played,” MSU coach Brian Fish said. “We just never found a rhythm offensively, so we had to grind it out.”
