The Montana women's tennis team blanked Northern Colorado 7-0 on Saturday, but the final score is a bit misleading.
The Griz won the doubles point 2-1 and had three of their six singles matches go to a third set in the match held indoors at the Peak Racquet Club.
Montana improved to 4-6 in Big Sky matches, 8-14 overall. Northern Colorado fell to 1-8, 5-12.
After winning the doubles point, Bianca Bostrom gave the Griz a 2-0 lead with a straight-sets win over Madeline Doherty at No. 3 singles. Cam Kincaid followed with a hard-fought 7-5, 6-1 win over Rafa Mora at No. 1. Nathalie Joanlanne secured the winning point for Montana with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 win over Triste Bryant-Otake at No. 2 to give the Griz an insurmountable 4-0 lead.
Lidia Dukic won her match in straight sets, while Catherine Orfanos and Eimear Maher needed three sets to secure their singles wins.
The Griz wrap up their season Sunday by hosting Eastern Washington on Sunday at 2 p.m.
