Montana’s spring sports placed a league-high 62 student-athletes on the Academic All-Big Sky Conference teams that were announced this week, giving the Grizzlies 155 selections for the 2014-15 academic year, a record for the department.
The previous record for Montana’s programs was 140 set in 2012-13.
Men’s track and field accounted for 14, the most of any men’s track and field team in the conference. Softball (9) and women’s golf (5) both tied for the second-highest total within their sport in the conference. Women’s track (23) and men’s tennis (6) each tied for third.
Weber State had the league’s second-highest total of 59. Eastern Washington and Idaho State both had 55 and North Dakota had 53.
