The outstanding regular seasons for the Missoula Sentinel girls and Missoula Hellgate boys were rewarded with both teams earning a pair of Class AA all-state recognitions.
Juniors Kylie Frohlich and Jordyn Schweyen represented the Spartans, who finished second at the state tournament, on the all-state list. Senior Derrius Collins and freshman Rollie Worster were the picks for the Knights.
The two selections apiece tied for the most among any boys' or girls' teams. The state champion Helena girls, state runner-up Bozeman boys, Billings West boys and Great Falls CMR girls also drew two picks each.
Schweyen and Frohlich each averaged about 10 points per game headed into the state tournament. Frohlich was Class AA's top rebounder with 9.5 boards per game. It's her second straight all-state selection.
Worster poured in 14.6 ppg in his first year of high school and Collins averaged another 12.3 for state-qualifying Hellgate.
Sentinel's Sam Beighle was also an all-stater on the boys' side. The junior averaged 16.5 ppg and 6.5 rebounds for the Spartans, who also made it to the state tournament.
State AA boys' champ Kalispell Glacier got one all-state nod in senior Jaxen Hashley, who averaged a double-double of 16.7 points and 11.9 rebounds each game.
Great Falls senior Brendan Howard earned all-state for a fourth straight year.
Hellgate senior Sydney Riddle, and Sentinel underclassmen Emma Blakely and Lexi Deden were second-team all-Western AA among girls while Big Sky's Kelsi McEnaney was honorable mention.
Big Sky seniors Alex Simmons and Nick Yovetich were joined by Sentinel senior Will Mytty on the boys' second team. Spartan senior Mitch Roberts was honorable mention.
