Coach says: "We have a very athletic team with some talented basketball players. We have good size, experiences kids, and are a very hard working group. We like to get up and down the court quickly but can play a slower paced game as well."

Etc: Kieckbusch and Haws were both second team all-conference last year ... Drew Haws is entering his third season as Senior's head basketball coach.

Billings Skyview Falcons

Head coach: Kevin Morales

2016-17 record: 17-3

Starters returning: Tyler Kinghorn, Sr.

Other key players: Logan DeHaven, Sr., Jeremiah Warner, Sr., Zach Schacht, Jr., Daniel Davis, Jr., Alex Schaaf, Jr.

Coach says: "Our team has a group of kids that have worked their way through our program and now it's their time to step into that varsity role and I feel they couldn't be more ready. We are well-balanced and have a great combination of big men and guards that can play fast."

Etc: This is Kevin Morales' fourth season as Skyview's head coach ... The Falcons finished in third at state last year and were back-to-back state champions in 2015 and 2016. 

Billings West Golden Bears

Head coach: Kelly Darragh

2016-17 record: 14-9

Starters returning: Jesse Owens, Cade Tyson

Other key players: SI Ryan IV, Carson Prokop, Austin Hanna, Ben Tallman, Cole DeVries, Kobe Nelson

Coach says: "We're not the biggest team, but we are very athletic."

Etc: Darragh begins his fourth season at West.

Great Falls CMR Rustlers 

Head coach: John Cislo

2016-17 record: 10-12

Starters returning: Garrison Rothwell, Sam Vining, Dylan Marzion

Other key players: Juniors: Bryce Depping, Caleb Currington. 

Coach says: "We could be a team that is very balanced both starters and bench players. This team is the deepest Rustler team in quite some time. We will look to post up multiple players in the block. We need to become a better defensive team than we've been in the past. We will have to continue to work each week to get better in our man to man defense."

Etc: Rothwell was a 2nd team All-Conference selection.....Vining was a honorable mention All-conference selection

Kalispell Flathead Braves

Head coach: Ross Gustafson 

2016-17 record: 12-11

Starters returning: Sam Elliott, Sr, C; Tyler Johnson, Sr, F; Eric Seaman - Sr, G.

Other key players: Oz Allen, Sr, F; Dawson Smith, Sr, F; Clayton Jaques, Sr, F; Anthony Jones, Jr, G; Stephen Bridges, Jr, G.

Coach says: " Our strengths are our team chemistry, basketball skill and IQ, and overall size. Areas to Develop: Elliott, Johnson and Seaman bring experience and are some of the top returning players in the conference. We are looking for others to become excellent in their roles and are excited about the rest of the seniors and our two junior guards. We will be relentless in the pursuit of excellence."

Etc: Sam Elliott was a 1st Team All State selection averaging 12 ppg, 6 reb, 1.5 blk.....Tyler Johnson was a 2nd Team All Conference selection, averaging15 ppg, 5 reb; Eric Seaman was a Honorable Mention All Conference selection. 

Great Falls Bison 

Head coach: Bob Howard 

2016-17 record: 17-8

Starters returning: Blake Thelen, Kendall Kynett.

Other key players: Kyle Winkler, Sr; Kevin Boes Sr; Kyle Torgerson, Jr; Hunter McKinney Sr; Riley Callery Jr. 

Coach says: "We have decent overall size and are pretty balanced. 5-6 players are capable of consistent scoring."

Etc: This is coach Howard's 15th year as head coach of the Bison.....Great Falls finished 3rd in AA East last year. \

Helena Capital Bruins 

Head coach: Guy Almquist 

2016-17 record: 3-18

Starters returning:  Matt McGinley

Other key players: Bridger Grovom, So; Parker Johnston, So; Alaric Griel, Jr; Michael Nettleton, Sr. 

Coach says: "I think we have some young guards who can make plays for others this year. We have a young group, but they possess a great work ethic, which is exciting for down the road. Our biggest concern is our rebounding, which gave us considerable trouble last year. We don't have a true scorer in the post either, so we need to be able to spread the floor and make more plays off the dribble."

Missoula Big Sky Eagles

Head coach: Bryan Ferriter

2016-17 record: 3-18

Starters returning: 2

Key players: David Gibson, Sr, F; Levi Janacaro, Sr, F; Jordan Casselman, Sr, F; Dan Morin, Jr, G; Carl Butz, Sr, C; Mckee Muralt, Jr, F.

Coach says: "These kids are coachable and team-oriented. We suffered the previous season and we all expect to do better."

Etc: Casselman had the second highest 3 point percentage last year in class AA shooting for 45 %.
