HELENA — Gardiner, Hot Springs, Broadview-Lavina and Denton-Geyser-Stanford were approved by the Montana High School Association Board of Directors to participate in 6-Man football, the organization announced Wednesday.
The decision came out of the MHSA's November executive board meeting Monday. The moves regarding the four Class C schools is pending two-week notice to each for comment.
The Board also approved realignment for 8-Man and 6-Man play next fall.
In 6-Man, Denton-Geyser-Stanford moves into the North, Broadview-Lavina and Plenty Coups are in the South, and Hot Springs and Gardiner are in the West. In 8-Man, the only change is Twin Bridges moving to the South.
In other MHSA news Wednesday, the board approved realigning Class B-C wrestling from four divisions to two.
