MISSOULA — Five Eureka Lion football players have a little more hardware to add to the trophy case alongside the program's second straight Class B title.

Quarterback and University of Montana recruit Garrett Graves joined teammates Brenton Pluid, Hank Dunn, Chet McCully and Jake Kindel on the Class B all-state roster, announced last week.

Graves, playing with an injured ankle in the state title game, hobbled his way to three total touchdowns in Eureka's 47-7 win over Shelby on Oct. 18. He was named first-team all-conference at QB and linebacker.

Loyola Sacred Heart, which fell 28-27 in the state semifinals to Shelby, placed three on the all-state list. David Koppang, another Griz recruit, was accompanied by Ram teammate and Montana State commit Joey McElroy as well as quarterback Scott Twite, who was named as Western B's second-team all-conference QB.

Koppang was first-team all-conference at wide receiver, defensive back and punter. He was named to the conference's second team as a return specialist.

Florence, clinching a Class B playoff spot for the first time since 2012, landed a pair on the all-state team. First-team all-conference wide receiver Marcus Zeiler and second-team all-conference linebacker Dax Miller joined the club.

Bigfork's Logan Gilliard and Randy Stultz each earned their way to an all-state nod, as did Deer Lodge's Karson Wheat and Thompson Falls' Jase Sorenson.
