GREAT FALLS -- Kalispell Flathead has looked like the front-runner for the Class AA state wrestling title all season long, but in a head-to-head, top-to-bottom brawl with Bozeman on Saturday, the Hawks came out on top.

Bozeman topped Flathead 36-27 in the championship round of the Class AA Duals wrestling meet at Great Falls High. Bozeman won eight of the 13 contested matches in the day's final dual.

Billings Skyview took third with a 43-16 win over the host Bison and Missoula Big Sky ended up in fifth after beating Helena Capital in a close one in the fifth-place match, 39-35. Butte beat Helena 39-32 for seventh

The all-class wrestling tournament begins in Billings in just three weeks. Wrestlers from across the state will head to the Magic City for matches beginning on Feb. 10.
